Simple card using leftovers

Card made with leftover papers from Very...MMM! layout below.

last of 16 pages

Last pages I will be showing of Cara's 16 album - she's 17 now! Love playing with stamps - the background of covers is done using Paper Artsy Lynne Perella collection.

12 x 12 Layout - Very... MMM!

Been very busy - but I made a 12 x 12 layout (first one in months). A bit fussier and busier than I originally intended, but sometimes these things have a tendency to run away with me!
Prima Delight papers and stickers, Prima Maggie Holmes fabric frame, Pink Paislee Hope Chest burlap butterflies, Bazzil Basics cardstock, Tim Holtz distress ink tattered rose, misc vellum and sequins.

France was amazing and we have loads of photos so watch this space... (mmm someone might anyway :) We also went on a mini - jaunt last week to the North Yorkshire Moors, so I will make a little album in honour of that!
Well, she turned 17 a couple of weeks ago, so I had better get on and finish my 16 album! Nearly there, but I'm at that stage where I want to start a new project with loads of colour because I restricted myself to pink and grey with bits of complementary colour woven through. Obviously I have done other things, but I keep going back to this one and adding a few more bits and pieces. Anyway, here's the penultimate batch of photos, sorry the quality isn't brill. Generally all the tags were handmade and decorated with stamping, painting etc. I hope the photos speak for themselves.

16 album/journal - next instalment

Here are the next few pages from Cara's 16 album. It's bound temporarily to keep it all together, but I will be changing it around and re-cinching when it's the finished product! You will see the fleeting changes to my daughter's hair colour - she wanted to experiment a bit, (don't we all?), but she is now back to her natural blonde. I won't say "that's better", because Contrary Mary may not approve of my approval....

On another subject, I am going to South West France in a few days and I am busy getting my stash together for the event. I have decided to go down the Smash Book route and went shopping today to add to my goodies. I got my mini-printer and camera out so I am well prepped for quiet evenings of smash activity! Of course I will be blogging it - over 2 weeks of meandering around La Belle France - who wouldn't? One of my fave places in the world I reckon.  Watch this space!

Altered file folder - lessons

Here's one I enjoyed making today - an altered Heidi Swapp file folder. I took a Big Picture class with Heidi a while ago and I know all those who participated thoroughly enjoyed it. It's the only on-line class I have actually been anywhere near completing as I usually fall by the wayside after a week or two. (I did with this class, but have carried on with it as and when I can as Heidi was inspirational for me.) The only flip side was that I couldn't get hold of much HS product, so I improvised :0)
Cosmic Shimmer mists, Tilda Sewing Bird papers, Tattered Rose Distress Ink, American Craft thickers and cardstock, plus my good old silhouette cameo!
The little mini flip book (again, a Heidi Swapp influence), has more supportive sayings for Cara to read, for example "be kind, be thoughtful"
This will go in my HS file folder storagebox along with the other completed folders..

16 album/journal

I have been making this album of my daughter's 16th year for the last 6 months and it is nearly complete. I have a few journaling entries to do, a few more layouts and the covers to finish. I have used predominantly pink and grey. The covers are cut from a Heidi Swapp file folder and the whole thing will be rebound with my Cinch once I've decided what order I want things in (if any). I have used several manufacturers papers and ephemera, mainly Prima, Pink Paislee, My Minds Eye, Glitz Designs (who's products seem to have been made for my daughter!).
Here are a few of the pages, there are a lot more to follow!

Pretty Little Scalloped Mini Album

This little album came together very quickly - acouple of hours. There were 2 main reasons for this
1) My Silhouette Cameo - we are in love!
2) Knowing what photos, design, supplies and theme I wanted

I used the Cameo to cut out the album pages and most of the butterflies. I used My Minds Eye Miss Caroline patterned papers, Tim Holtz Weathered Wood distress ink, Glitz Designs and 7Gypsies word and phrase stickers.

Retro Card in a Suitcase!

Retro New Home Card and case for my friend. Made this with the help of my silhouette cameo (which I bought recently). I love playing with it and creating new products from the online store. These papers are Prima again - a lovely retro print from an old collection as I am still using up my older stash. I buy new lines, but I'm much more picky now! That said, I have the whole collection of Tim Holtz distress paints (as a for instance) because some things just call to me :0D

Prima 8x8 layout

This 8x8 Layout was quick, easy and fun to make. Prima papers, Tim Holtz distress paints, Staz-on inks, Cosmic Shimmer.

7Gypsies Printers Tray

I altered this 7Gypsies printers tray over 2 years ago, but I forgot to photograph it for a show and tell - so here it is. Very pretty, mainly because of the Prima Jack and Jill papers and embellies. I also used lots of nik-naks from my stash. This is one of my fave photos.

12 x 12 layout You Are Beautiful, 9 x 7 layout Oh So Lovely

These are probably the last of my old projects that I am uploading
.The first one is all stamping and layering and prettiness.
Its a very dimensional layout, hence being in a box frame (residing in my conservatory :0)

The second one is more recent and uses American Craft Dear Lizzie papers and is 9 x 7 inches I think. A very quick and simple layout to do.
