12 x 12 layout You Are Beautiful, 9 x 7 layout Oh So Lovely

These are probably the last of my old projects that I am uploading
.The first one is all stamping and layering and prettiness.
Its a very dimensional layout, hence being in a box frame (residing in my conservatory :0)

The second one is more recent and uses American Craft Dear Lizzie papers and is 9 x 7 inches I think. A very quick and simple layout to do.

Mixed Media Tutorial 1 - Are you really16?

This is a new one for me - impromptu tutorial of a project I did this morning. Next time I will pluck up the courage to video myself as I create maybe!!!

Here is the finished product - so much fun! I used a photo of poor quality (BUT gorgeous subject}, because it kind of fits in with the overall look I wanted. Also I mean Vintage Photo and not Old Photo when I use the Distress Paints! Slight blank moment for me.

So here is the tut

Butterfly Blues layout

As a contrast, this layout (again made well over a year ago but I'm nearly done uploading old stuff), is just a basic and straightforward 12 x 12 layout. No inking, no paints, no stamping - just cutting and layering. The photo is printed on canvas effect photo paper. Her eyes are very blue.

prom dress grunge

Another layout from a while ago of Cara's prom dress. This was a very emotional purchase for us. I couldn't really afford it as it was a lot of money, but Cara was so determined to have it (bought from Molly Browns in York, a Sherri Hill designer dress size 0), that she withdrew some of her savings and paid half. It's such a beautiful dress and I have many photos. She looked amazing on prom night.

This particular layout is very shabby, grungy, messy. It's a "from the heart" layout.

Altered box and tag album

Here is a little box I altered using some Chinese art inspired papers, (sorry don't know what make).
I made a tag book to go inside with the same papers and parchment papers. The box is about 7 or 8 inches tall and I think it looks sooo pretty! I made the charm dangles with stuff from my stash, again this was created a while ago. I really do need to use up some more of my stuff though - I swear I have enough to stock a shop!

Good Bad Grunge

A grungy mixed media 12 x 12 layout of Cara. She was actually posing for a drama assignment she was doing at college and I couldn't resist making something with the photos myself. at 16 she is full of ups and downs and I sometimes don't know where I am with her, but the love is, of course, unconditional. Check out the tights !!!

Little Bits of Art

Here's a little set of chipboard drawers I altered a while ago to store ATC's in. Think the papers are Bo Bunny if I remember correctly. Each drawer is just about full now, so time to make another ATC storage box! I have a 7Gypsies ATC drawer to alter...

Shopping trip mini album

My daughter and I like to go on shopping trips together. This particular time, (Feb 2012), we decided to go to Manchester Trafford Centre. It's about one and a half hours away normally, but because of road works it took us over 2 hours. We were booked into the Premier Inn, (just over the road), for the night which gave us two shopping sessions. The hotel was great for us - our room was perfect. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we vowed to go back when the time, (and finances!), were right. I know it will happen! When we got back I decided to immediately set to and make a mini about the event, using pictures taken with my phone. I used Tim Holtz papers which were just right for the occasion, also used my own patterned paper, (rustled up with paint and spray inks), and memorabilia from the day. This was a very quick and simple little book - I turned my photos into polaroid shots and used a really scribbled handwriting and stamping technique for my journaling straight onto the photos. I echoed the architecture of the Centre with my choice of papers and inks. Here are a few pages - there are more of the same believe me! (If anyone wants to see more just ask and I will put them up.)

Book Inside - Random Photo Shoot

Here is my next Bo Bunny/Pink Paislee creation. A little Book Inside a Box. I loved these papers and embellishments so much I used them a lot. They are oldies but goodies for me. Also there's something about making these little concertina books - I have made so many. Very quickly rewarding and versatile. Perfect for gifts. I make the boxes using my Martha Stewart scoreboard.

Joie de Vivre - Something from scratch from Feb 2012 - using sizzix dies, DCWV mademoiselle collection, Lablanche, 7Gypsies, ECOGreen & other stamps, Maya Road chipboard cameo pieces. Just played and pottered, as is my wont. Selected pages - more to see if you want!

BIRDCAGE

Sharing one of my favourite makes from October 2011 (That long ago?). Bare chipboard juiced up with paint, cosmic shimmer sprays, crackle medium, inks - you name it! Loving the Pink Paislee and Bo Bunny so much I made another project (to follow) using these goodies.

Art Journal page to share with you - using LaBlanche wing stamp, texture paste, gold leafing, inks and paints. I am quite light-hearted in my journals, I prefer to smile when I look at my stuff - although I have a few meaningful pages in me!!!

@ or @ BOOK

Here are the photos of my @ book, which I made after watching Made By Marzipan's tutorial on YouTube (@ Book)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lZzL0xWqm8M. I loved the process and reckon it took me about 5 hours to make all in all. As long as you get your measurements right, it comes together quickly. I used Hi-Tack glue on my washi tape to ensure a permanent bond. Then had fun playing with Dear Lizzy's pretty papers.
